Adega de Penalva is located in the Dão region of Portugal. It is unique in that it is a cooperative that has over 1000 member farmers who contribute their grape harvests to the wines. On average, each farmer has less than 1 hectare of vines. Many of these tiny vineyards have been passed down for generations with tenacious farmers holding onto and tending to their familial holdings through the years.

Adega de Penalva has been producing wine from its members’ grapes since the 1960s. The wines are made simply and honestly and without any unnecessary fuss. Showing the true character of the region, this rosé is made from Portugal's signature grapes Touriga Nacional and Tinta Roriz (a.k.a Tempranillo).
